Today I recieved the endorsement of The Chicago Tribune as the best candidate to represent the citizens of the 68th District. I am both humbled and honoured by this recognition – I assure the people I am worthy of their trust.

America has again been hit with a terrorist attact. This time it was from those among us. The mighty on Wall Street, the Banks, and the big corporations throughout the econony told us how smart they were and how well they ran their companies and how it was best for America for should I say it once again – they were so damn smart. This attack didn’t just hit New York and Washington but has hit in every community in America. The administration has a plan to save us. Remember Afganistan and Iraq and how they would protect us. The smoking gun could be a mushroom clould. Came to be they had the stupidest people they could find running the pentagon. How can we have confidence that they didn’t do they same with the treasury department? Remember the head of treasury came from a Wall Street Banking House and he was so damn smart just like the others – he helped create this mess. This will create futher hardship on the budget of Illinois. We can expect more loss of jobs throughout the state and increased pressure on the local governments and school systems. But, remember, they think they are so damn smart. They are fools.

Now they’ve done it. The House under the leadership of the Speaker has proposed the selling of the State Lottery to finance the Capital Plan. If sucessful this will give an imediate influx of money for the short term to build roads, bridges and etc.
OOPS! Next spring they will discover that they no longer have the annual revenues from the lottery and they will have another shortfall of funds for the General Fund. OH, what a surprise they will say. SHOCKED! We had no idea that in selling the Lottery that we would no longer recieve the revenue and must make up another half a billion dollars each and every year .

Closing State Parks! Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot
Protecting our land, air and water should be a major function of our State Government. Now the General Assembly and the Governor look to balance the budget by closing 11 state parks on November 1. This is is addition to earliar shutdowns of other parks and of the closing of the Dana House in Springfield.
State parks come under the environment – which should be one of the main pillars of the support and funding by the General Assembly. Current members of the General Assembly are interested only in their personal gain not to the welfare of the State of Illinois or our district.
Join with me – it’s time to recast Illinois politics and government.

Again another budget mess for Illinois. The General Fund ( Operating Fund ) was sent to the Governor during the waning hours of the legistrative session with a a little detail of being unbalanced by two billion dollars ( a tidy sum ). The Governor called them back into session and then cut 1.4 billion from their budget. This is a duty of the General Assembly not of the Governor whose duty is to approve or to reject. Again this is a problem that has plagued our state for decades – be it Republican or Democrats who are in power. They have an inability to establish priorities. Therefore everything is of equal value in their eyes. This is wrong - very, very wrong.
